Start ‘em young….

Gabe was born way on up there in Maine and grew up playing with trains in the greater Maine area and in Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada where his family farm sits on the hillside.

A love of trains was joined by a love of the guitar, at age 10. His dad lent him money for one after pointing out that he’d rather not have a karaoke singing son. His father then took him around to all the local bars to watch his Uncle Mark’s band play…… and things just sort of went from there.

Gabe ended up playing every fair in New England and Canada with every country band he could weasel his way into. Finding, one day, the bus pulling up in Nashville, TN in front of Robert’s Western World. It was there and on Lower Broadway in the 2000s that Gabe absorbed his love for tight country bands, and honkytonk hardwood floors. Sitting in with people like Gary Gibson, Bart Hansen, The Don Kelley Band, Rachael & Hoot Hester…… playing with and learning from the people that had backed up his heroes.

“I could never give it up after that” he’ll tell you. He forged himself a niche as the guitarist and band leader that could remind you of what it sounded like to hear your favorite Country artist on a stage between bout 1965 & 1985.

After 20 years of experience backing up artists all over the world, he figures it’s time to take his boys and his songs on the road……. with a healthy dose of the songs that made his life what it is today.

“Without hearing Roger Miller’s ‘Trip in the Country’ record on my grandmother’s turntable, in the entry way, when I was 3…….. I reckon I’d probably be working a normal job with a normal life right about now. So I’m grateful to Gram for starting a train rolling, that I have no intention of giving up. No matter how hard it gets out here in this business.”
